NAVYA – Centre for Justice and Social Change is committed to advancing justice, equality, human rights, dignity, mental well-being and social inclusion. We work at the intersection of law, gender justice, disability rights, mental health, victim and survivor support, research and social action.
Our work responds to the gap that can exist between rights recognised in law and rights experienced in everyday life. People have legal rights and entitlements but still face barriers in accessing justice, healthcare, education, employment, rehabilitation, mental-health support or social protection.
NAVYA seeks to address these challenges through legal assistance and awareness, support and referrals, research, education, capacity building, community engagement and policy advocacy — working with individuals, communities, institutions and professionals, while also examining the wider systems and practices that create or perpetuate exclusion.
We believe that people should not be defined by their vulnerability or circumstances. They are rights-holders with dignity, choices, aspirations and agency. Our work connects law with lived realities, research with action and individual experiences with systemic change.
